What is Computer Network??

A computer network is a group of interconnected devices, such as computers, servers, printers, and other peripherals, that can communicate with each other to share resources and information. Networks can be classified into several types, including:

  1. Local Area Network (LAN): A LAN is a network that is used to connect computers and devices in a small geographic area, such as a single office or building.

  2. Wide Area Network (WAN): A WAN is a network that connects devices over a large geographic area, such as multiple buildings or cities.

  3. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): A MAN is a network that covers a metropolitan area, such as a city or a town.

  4. Wireless Network: A wireless network is a network that uses wireless signals, such as Wi-Fi or cellular, to connect devices without the need for physical cables.

  5. Virtual Private Network (VPN): A VPN is a secure network that connects devices over the Internet, allowing remote users to access resources and data as if they were on the same LAN.

  6. Cloud Network: A cloud network is a network that is based on cloud computing, where data and applications are stored and accessed over the Internet.

Networks allow devices to share resources, such as files, printers, and internet connections, and to exchange information and data. They can also be used to improve communication and collaboration among users, and to provide centralized management of data and resources.
